The
Maledia project - dark-gothic-metal band
- takes shape in 2000 from an idea of
the band’s manager and drummer Mechanix
and Maleun the bassist. In 2001, Maledia
is introduced to, guitarist Daniele and
Marco the Keyboarder. Maledia kept on,
the searching of the singer didn' t seem
to have a positive outcome. Many tries
and voices were listened on their songs,
but nobody was able to convince them..
until they met Loo. They loved her VOICE
instantly, and she was what they were
looking for: wonderful voice, incredibly
vocal extension, another music lover. (Loo
- soprano-voice and live performance for
DAEMONIA, Claudio Simonetti's horror
band !) A young singer, a lyric soprano
able to passing from properly lyric
songs to light ones.
Love for music joined the boys together,
holding them and making them accomplices,
it was the right moment. Always loving
the symphonic sound mixed with hard
rock/metal, gothic harmonies and
dark/horror variations, they found their
way; the union and perfect fusion of the
dark/horror with the clean and gentle,
METAL mixed with pure melody.
Finally music: every members gave space
and force to their own potentialities;
many songs were born, in less than a
year almost 10 songs were composed. Two
years of concerts in several premises of
Rome and Italy to get experience, and
then because MALEDIA live of STAGE.. The
recording of the first demo didn't
arrive soon for a their choise, waiting
for a better work...Black Heaven.. was
born at the end of 2003, in a winter
evening; ..Nightfall.. and ..Hopeless
Desire... These tracks pushed to the
recording.
The production of the mini-CD, ..Black
Heaven.., finished in January 2005 at
the Outer Sound Studios of Giuseppe
Orlando (Novembre) . This one has an
optimal success getting good critics and
replies from different musical reviews
and magazines while MALEDIA continued
the live stuff and partecipating in many
musical competitions in the most
important italian cities, they opened
act a major bands like: Macbeth,
Theatres des Vampires at Dark Fest (Rome),
To die For and so on. then they played
at Emergenza Rock Festival, got at final
also in Spazio Giovani of Foggia (2005),
won prize Musical News, and always got
to the final of Turin ..Festival Bands..
winning the prize Better Voice. European
experiences: France Festival in
Chateauroux and Burning Star Festival in
Greece.
They are contacted to participate in a
compilation published by the Masterpiece
Production Nomadism Records ..United
Forces of Phoenix.., they participate
there with the Demo. MALEDIA is not a
dream but a truth that deserves
attention, five exceptional musicians
that live for music, five young adults
that were born for this. . |
